This is the historical church of Manila Cathedral found within a walled city of Intramuros since spanish time..Romanesque architecture was first originated across europe ( Italy, France, Germany, Spain and England). But romanesque architecture is quit different from roman of gothic style. It was actually inspired by octagonal Byzantine Basilica of San Vitale In Ravenna during the dark age in europe. Characterisitics of this sophisticated architecture developed by europeans has round arches, columns with distinctive designs, and barrel vaults. The constructions has thick walls and small openings of windows. Manila Cathedral were also mixed with gothic architecture which is usually has a big opening to make more lights to enter. Floor plan is a latin cross with clearly defined parts. Arts used sculptures.. Ideal form of body, detailed,and rigid same with the roman's sculpture during the time of Sophocles.
